Invitation

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Despite the continuously growing number of young patients with foot disorders, the topic of pediatric foot conditions is still considered of minor importance, and consequently, it is rarely addressed at scientific conferences. At the same time, we observe a concerning departure from well-established principles of treating congenital deformities (e.g., clubfoot) and sequelae of central nervous system injuries in children. Increasingly, we face consequences of trauma and treatment failures, including surgical failures, concerning the lower limb.

This is why we came up with the idea of organizing a course entirely focused on the pediatric foot. The course will take place in Łódź, on September 18–19, 2025.

Outstanding specialists will share their expertise – distinguished guests from abroad: Jose Morcuende, Nichols Reid, Christina Alves, Monica Nogueira, as well as from Poland: Marek Napiontek, Bartłomiej Kowalczyk, and myself.

During the first part of the course, we will delve into the secrets of the Ponseti technique used to treat clubfoot, offering a unique opportunity to learn from students of the master himself – Ignacio Ponseti, the creator of this method. In the second part of the course, we will focus on other problems and diseases affecting the feet and lower limbs in children.

Łódź is a dynamically developing city with a rich history shaped by four cultures.

I warmly invite you to participate in this course, which – thanks to the international group of experts – will be an excellent opportunity to deepen your knowledge and exchange experiences during engaging discussions.

See you in Łódź!

Sincerely,
Univ. prof. Błażej Pruszczyński, MD, PhD
